چکیده

In the manufacturing industry, problem related to management of metal waste is considerable importance, since it produced in large quantities during mechanical processing. However, its recovery not always a simple task, especially with regard cutting processes. fact, due presence surface oxide and contaminating oily residues, process these components often very expensive polluting. This can be solved FSE process, patented 1993 by The Welding Institute. counted among main innovative processing techniques developed Industry 4.0, as involves only scraps coming from machining processes starting material, without providing for their preliminary re-melting billet form, uses heat generated friction between tool metal. Since quite recent development simulative models useful understanding basic mechanisms. objective this research analyze if how bonding phenomena occour considering both thermal stress conditions involved parameters. As result, FEM analysis proved valid correctly forecast really take place parameters affect quality. Moreover, was possible confirm that Piwnik Plata model good criterion predicting effects technology.

Misalignment detection for friction stir welding or Enabling seam tracking for friction stir welding

This paper describes a technique for determining the position of the friction stir welding (FSW) tool with respect to the weld seam during welding. This technique is proposed for online misalignment detection or as a position estimator for in-process tracking of the weld seam for FSW.

The Strength of Friction Stir Welded and Friction Stir Processed Aluminium Alloys

Local strength of friction stir (FS) welds and FS processed aluminium alloys in heat treatable aluminium alloys is dominated by precipitation hardening. Strengthening due to stored dislocations is generally limited to 40MPa, and grain size strengthening is generally less than 10MPa. Local crystallographic texture can cause yield strength variation on the order of 5%. Published models for streng...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Analysis and Comparison of Friction Stir Welding and Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding of Aluminum Alloy

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid-state joining process; i.e., no melting occurs. The welding process is promoted by the rotation and translation of an axis-symmetric non-consumable tool along the weld centerline. Thus, the FSW process is performed at much lower temperatures than conventional fusion welding, nevertheless it has some disadvantages. Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding (LAFS...

Optimization of the parameters of low-carbon steel (EN10130) welding using friction stir welding method

Friction-stir welding process is a novel method of solid state welding, which produces heat due to friction between the pin, the shoulder and the workpiece. This heat causes a paste area. Shoulder pressure and pin spin cause edges integration and lead to welding. In this study, firstly, the feasibility of welding of steel sheet (EN10130) with a thickness of 1.5mm has been tested by 58 experim...
